Where to get 1 plug wire?
I just recently put on SLP mid-length headers and I wnet to re-tighten the bolts and noticed that I burnt up the wire going to cylinder number seven. The wires are Taylor Spiro-pros. I called summit and they only sell them in sets of eight or as a universal set. I know this has happened to others, what have you guys done to solve this situation?
Thanks in advance,
Jay

Good ole #7....I burned up three on that cylinder..know what your going through..
Anyway I couldn't find anyone to sell me a single wire either so I bought another set..( figured I'd use them one at time with my problem). The only way I solved #7 on mine was by going with Accel shorty header plugs ( about 1/4"-5/16" shorter than a standard plug). I beleive the part # is P526S....by the way I noticed you are running 4:10's. Do you have the M28 or M29. I've been looking for someone with a 93 to get some feedback because of our trans. gearing. I was worried that 4:10's in a 93 would make first almost useless.....so how are they?

I can't remember if I have the m28 or m29. My first gear is 2.97, not the 3.36. The 4.10's were the best mod I have done yet. First really does go pretty darn fast. If I want to fish tail around a corner I have to either start in second or be prepared to shift pretty quickly. Fourth tops out at 108, so no need to shift into 5th for the quarter mile -- yet
. Our final overdrive is .62 whereas the other years have a .50 overdrive. At 80 mph I spin at 2800 rpm's, which I don't think is too terrible. I picked up a mile on gas mileage in town and lost one on the highway, so I guess it's even as I drive both about the same. As far as teh rear breaking, I haven't had any issues, I had the axles welded at the pressed on points and one of Summit's diff covers added (just like the TA cover).
The thing for us is the speedometer. I ordered a Dakota Digital box for 80 bucks and it took probanly an hour to install. So, total cost for the gears and everything else was probably 450 bucks, minus install. Not too bad at all really. I don't have and time slips as I have never been to a drag.
I hope some of this helps,
Jay

yep its in the right place...thanks for the info. You have the M29...same as me..2.97 first. I was leaning toward some 3:73's but I may need to rethink this now. Thanks again for the info. By the way ..have you been to http://www.speeddensity.org/ yet? Just for us 93 guys
