Where do they lead?

I ripped off my air pump a few months back but i still have the metal pipe that is hooked to the back of the block. When I stick my hand back there it feels like it goes into the engine. How do I get this off or is it best just to seal it somehow? Thanks again.

Do they look like these? (CLICK HERE)

If so, here is one way to remove them (CLICK HERE)

Shoebox has a great site for information regarding most common occurences with our LT1's, heres a link to it....(CLICK HERE)

**If you're reading this Shoebox, thanx for that page man! It's saved alot of stupid questions from me (although not eliminating all of them )

Actually the 1993s have piping that goes around the back of the engine. They routed it in the front in 1994. Sorry, I don't have any pics of a 1993. I think there is a check valve that goes into the back of the manifold.

so do I have to plug it? or route it back into itself? I don't think I can get a wrech or socket anywhere in back.
