Anyone know where my oil could be going? I had to add 2 quarts during this oil interval. I don't burn it, and I don't leave even one drip on the ground. There IS always oil on the bottom of the engine, reach back on the intake and get a little bit of thicker "grease" type substance that I assume could be oil/dirt mixed as I live in the country. Intake manifold leak? I'm going to look tomorrow when I do my plugs and wires and clean off as much as possible, but I belive it does run up the sides of the engine.

 

Aliens? Really, your intake is leaking like just about everyone else with a LT1. I don't see loosing 2 quarts in 3000 miles though. Of course it will cover you transmission and stream all over the bottom of your car but 2 quarts in too much. Are you sure you don't have a front seal leak? A quick look at a couple plugs might reveal if you are burning a little.
