Question How do I reset the low coolant light?

My coolant level is fine. I've checked and rechecked it. The light will come on about 50% of the time. How do I go about resetting it. I've heard there is some sort of procedure to follow.

There is no reset procedure. You can just unplug it and it will never come on again. If you would rather have it working, you might want to replace the sensor.

That sensor is extremely annoying. I have heard of many people, including myself, of having the sensor go bad. Not sure of the price or part# though, sorry.

Thanks a lot shoebox. I still can't believe how much information you have on these cars.

I do have one question though. How do I know whether I have a 2 way connector or an 8 way connector without actually going through the process of removing the sensor?

Actually, I have never heard of anyone finding an 8 way connector on theirs. It was in the parts book, so I included it on the page.

I'll go ahead and order the two way then.

On a side note: I noticed the p/n for the '93 low coolant sensor isn't showing up as anything on GMpartsdirect.com. Just thought you'd like to know. Thanks again for the help.

I had heard before that the 93 number was no longer available. Thanks for the note.
