If you want a new dowel pin for the cam, you can get one from comp cams. Call them directly.

Re: where to buy a longer dowel pin?

I didnt give comp a number when I got one from them. I told them that I had bought a cam from them, then I had switched from non-vented to a vented opti. They sent me a new pin for free (no shipping charges either). I installed the pin and trimmed it to length - you can run a search for the correct length - I've seen it posted many times. Whether you get a pin from Comp, Crane, or GM, make sure you check the installed length before re-installing the cam.
