Are you doing heads at the same time as the cam? I'd do the 224 if you're going to be using stock heads.

Not doing heads at the same time. I was told this is a good cam for stock heads.

I dont have any sound clips, but I have this cam, and it has a nice choppy idle. The cam will work fine with stock heads as long as it is a 6 speed car.

From what I have heard from many people, this cam does not work well with an auto and stock headed car even if the car has gears and steep converter to get into the power ban quicker. The cam is high lift with 1.6 you will be running 560 and 569 on the lift numbers.

from what I was told, This was a good cam. He suggested 1.6 RR, hardened pushrods, and all the usual stuff. A guy I know is running the CC306 on stock heads and if I am right, that is a much bigger cam. What will happen if I run the 227/233? It will be getting dyno tuned.

A dyno tune won't help much. That cam won't work well with stock heads on an auto. You'll get some quality cam surge that's for sure. I would suggest doing a high stall and gears if you're set on that cam.
