When you floor it...

Does it kinda pause then go? My car (when in motion) will pause then run like a raped ape. What is the reason for this?

Re: When you floor it...

Ignition is good brand new top notch everything there. I like this t/b idea though. We noticed a while back ago I wasnt getting 100% at wot according to the autoxray. so we removed some material to allow the blade to open more but we may have passed the mark. Also I have to put my foot in the tank or otherwise the carpet gets in the way.

My 97 ss z28 wants to fishtail on a hard take off, i would hate to see what a wet is gonna be like. Just got the car a month ago, i'm guessing its stock with a 2.73 gear, but it sure wants to spin easy.

Yes, its the A4 downshifting. My car does it too, now if you find the sweetspot in the pedal, where it wont downshift but still gets most throttle, its alot of fun

Re: When you floor it...

It depends on when you're flooring it. Are you going 25mph at 1.5K or 75 at 2.5K. At high speeds when I floor it, the get up is almost immediate. At low speeds or low RPR, it does have to pause a little to downshift, but nothing that I would classify as a misfire. I went through the whole opti/O2sensor/coil/wire stumbling issues like most of us have, so I know what that hesitation feels like.
