when to upgrade to a higher volume fuel pump?

My fuel pump is dead, my question is that I'm curious about how much HP you can make before having to upgrade to a better pump? .. IE I can save a few bucks with a good Bosch stock replacement and spend that $$ on suspension parts or should I be dishing out for the better pump?
Currently I'm a nearly stock LT1 but have trickflow 185 heads and plans of a 383 build in the near future.

Thanks.

the racetronix pump(walbro) with hotwire kit is a popular upgrade and I believe good to around 550-600fwhp. If you dont have the trap door cut I would definately consider it.

And will run you in the neighborhood of $110 to $120.

A worthwhile alternative to stock .
