I would change it at the same interval you change reg oil at.

Just because it isn't black doesn't mean it doesn't need changing.

Reg oil turns black because it cooks.

Yea I would just change it every 3-3500 miles. That's what I do. This way you know you are not running on old oil. You engine will last longer if you change the oil regularly.

You change your oil because it's dirty not because it's worn out. Conventional oil and syn get dirty at the same rate. change at the same interval if use syn. IMHO

With all of the mods that you have done, changing oil and knowing that interval should be a cake walk. I have heard people saying that you can go 7000 miles on an oil change, but if you look at the requirements for that, just keep changing it every 3000 miles. It has been the standard for generations, and it deifnately works.

My brother is an airline mechanic for a major carrier. He said they use Amsoil synthetic and never change the oil....only the filter at x amount of hours. I change my syn. oil every 6000miles and the filter every 3000(both products are Mobil 1)

Redline oil is known to improve in lubrication between 3000 and 7000 miles. I charge my Redline oil at 7000 miles. Only had to do it once so far.

Speaking of changing oil, have any of you guys heard of that GUNK engine cleaner that comes in a plastic quart bottle? You are supposed to add it to your engine and let it idle for 5 minutes before you change your oil. It's supposed to clean out the carbon build up from inside your engine and help it last longer.

Just wandering if any of you guys have used this and if it helps or would hurt our engines.

Thank's in advance!
