Well, like it says. When is it to small? Im running a 3'' catback with a 3'' in/out single muffler and a turn down. When will this need to be changed?

Probably any time after 400 rwhp...

You'll see many people running 3.5" cat-backs right now, but I wouldn't say its necessary until you're close to 400 rwhp...

You can either have custom 3.5" tubing added in place of the 3" or you can check out the 3.5" cat-back that Mufflex offers. Either way it's aluminized so once you pass the 3" mark you can't get SS if that makes a difference to you. Nobody's made one...yet...

I'd personally say that 4" tubing is a bit of an overkill though, so you'd be safe going with 3.5" tubing...

Running dual 3" is VERY hard to do. You'll see most people running 2.5" duals and they can be a tight fit...

You may be able to find a shop that could do it...

I wouldnt run it to the rear of the car. It would be dual's dumped off under the car before the axle. Not sure yet what Im gonna do.

Them bullets are very loud. I dont want my car to be loud again just something that will sound good and be nice with the cam. At the same time being able to support all that damn power.

In that case you could check out a Pro Flo Twister muffler or even a chambered muffler, something a bit more restrictive than will quiet your TD's down a bit...

I have all kinds of exhaust on my car. Last count was 9 different set ups, from all sorts.....

i run 2.5" duals on it now with my LTs.
The shorties and what you are doing I would say your 3" exhaust is fine. I have had this discussion with the shop that does most of my work and he states that most 3" systems are fine and might be over kill.

Gary, stick with what you have, if you want to run a different muffler then do that. But no need getting more than you need. I have done it all, Russ is not the leader in exhaust technology. ask me...he can tell you how many different things have been on my car and I will be honest with you, none of them picked the car up. I ran 88MPH in the 1/8th with all the systems. This dual system finally got the car to 91 at WS one night, 4 runs in the 91MPH range.

If you do not run it over the axle and out the back or side it is going to be loud inside.

I do not think you will pick up anything even changing the flowmaster out. I had that one too....
