wheel hop?

can i have some suggestions as to what would be causing my unbelieveably violent wheel hop? I was thinking maybe the struts are bad, but i think they are ok.

If your suspension is stock try a set of aftermarket lower control arms. (LCA's) After I installed a set of Hotchkis LCA's my wheelhop was eliminated.

Wheel hop is normal on a stock suspension. Control arms are the key. The stock control arms are weakly pressed metal. BMR makes some pretty cheap lower control arms that are good quality. Definetly get some control arm relocation brackets when you get your control arms as they position the arms at a better angle. Very important for people with lowered cars and helpful even on non-lowered cars. Get subframe connectors and an adjustable panhard bar and your car will handle like a dream.

Wheel hop occurs when the rear wheel tend to bounce on a hard launch. Shocks, no struts in the rear. If you lower the suspension, you'll need to relocate your trailing arms. Otherwise you'll get massive wheel hop.
