Whats your most valuable tool for the LT1?

What special tool has saved your butt when working on your LT1?
It can be anything from spark plug sockets to crows feet, to special sized pliers.

Mine would be this(I think you can find them cheaper on ebay)

That is the greatest invention since sliced bread when trying to do your plugs(I have shorty headers, so it may be different for everyone else ofcourse).

Do your scanners ONLY show codes they're throwing? Or does it show more info.

Also, since I have a 95 I think I have an OBDI with a OBDII plug. Does that mean I can use an OBDII scanner?

What kinda scanners do you guys have and where did you get them?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am really looking to get one if it will help me out.

95BlackTA - I've got a 95 with OBD-I and a OBD-II connector. I use a laptop with TunerCat and a cable from AKM (?). Then there is also FreeScan which records the data but you have to go back and open it up in Accel.

Current Data is ideal and Snap-On has some old scanners which will work.

Kinda off topic but I ordered one of those spark plug sockets for headers off e-bay from a guy with great feedback. Its been 4 days and he hasn't replied to my e-mails, I already made payment through paypal. His name is "95redbird02" anyone else dealt with him? Oh BTW part was listed at "knuckle saver"

I have a socket like that, that works on my spark plugs great. Came in a tool kit.

Kataclysm - It doesn't seem like a high dollar amount to rip someone off. I was just checking ebay and saw the same guy. Maybe he's on vacation... but then why post? Hmmm... Let us know when you get it.
