Whats your compression ratio??

Whats your compression ratio and do you run pump gas and how often on the street????

11.7 Static 8.7 Dynamic. Hasn't started yet but I plan on running 91 pump gas.

11.7 running on pump gas. pacesetter lt,hooker catback,cc503/cc1.6/beehive springs/madz28 tune/3.73. no times yet,but pulls like a MF!!!

11.5 running on pump gas, sometimes I run racing fuel at the track.

The static ain't s*** it's the DCR that counts. This is cam dependent. The bigger your cam the more static ya can run and be under 9.0DCR.

This subject has been beat to death. There is a LOT of info using the search botton.

I basicly have the same compression ratio 11.7 and cam as you does your car ping at all on pump gas with that much compression thats what im worried about it turned out i have more compression than i wanted

Lt1s are very good at running that much compression. No Worries. Reverse cooling ROCKS!!!!

  2. Pump gas

I got 11.8:1. I figured out dynamic once but I forgot, think it was just over 9.0. I run 91 octane in the fall,winter,spring and I don't drive it in the summer.
It pings in traffic in the summer here. Phoenix is hotter than most places though, sending IATs way up.

11.1 to 1, 91 octane...highest they sell. runs fine.

12.1 compression with my 396 on 93 octane. Havent gotten the motor together yet. Just have gotten the heads and intake from Loyd Elliott today and they turned out great.
