Took the car to the track today. Comparing my car to other stock LT1s it sucks. It's a 1993 with K&N FIPK kit, Automatic, 2.73 rear end. The filter is nice and clean. I use Mobil1 as Oil and K&N oil filter. I also use Mobil 93 Gas.
Car has 102,000 miles.

60 ft - 2.207
330 ft - 6.281
1/8 ET - 9.613
1/8 MPH - 74.60
1/4 ET - 14.814
1/4 MPH - 93.77

Wheels do not loose grip when I launch. Probably due to the 2.73

Sometimes I manage to hit 14.6 or 14.7 on the quarter mile and once I hit 14.5 when it was 63F outside. No consistancy as you can see.
I never managed to hit the 14.2 that everyone is talking about for stock LT1.

Any reason for the inconsistancy or the slow times I am seeing?

 

those times are very similar to mine except im runin an m6 with 3.42's my speed was at abut 95 and my short times were right about the same except i ran right around a 14.5 alot with baisically the same mods you have
the times they got may have been in cooler whether and might launch alot harder than we do and when they say that they are stock does that include the tires because DR's can cut significant chunks off the quarter just a few thoughts but your times dont seem too unreasonable to me

 

Your 60' is horrible but then so are your gears. I think you are running just about what you should given the mods you have. Most stockish LT1s I see run 14.3-14.8 around here and I think they were all autos.
