yes its over priced, but from what I hear, its the best sounding exhaust HANDS DOWN you can buy for the LT1. So if you want the best, and have the money, thats why you get it.

i have a soundclip of the gmmg on a stock car i found on the board a while back, and a few on an LT1 from inside just driving around, it sounds good, but imo definately isnt worth that price.

when the time comes ill probably be going with the SLP 2OTL or a dual dual system, seems to be some of the best sounding once you have headers and no cats

Just buy a loudmouth, cut off the resonator and stick a 3" chambered muffler in it's place. Now you got a "chambered" exhaust for less than $400. You'll get very close to the same sound.

I still wonder why the price on the GMMG is always talked about. Borla, Corsa, B&B Triflow are all in the same price range and don't sound as good. Why pick on GMMG all the time

the gmmg is a much more simple design..........youre just paying for the name..............i know the corsa definetly has a lot of R&D into it, and probably the b&b too.........i think the borla should be cheaper, but once again, paying for the name.

Its exotic and looks cool under the car, very few people have it, and its the best damn sounding exhaust out there period. Yeah its expensive but so are all other exhausts made of 304 SS piping. If you think its to expensive for what you get than don't get it. But if you want the best sounding exhaust its worth every penny. Thats my opinion and probably the opinion of every other GMMG owner out there.

how is a redneck chamber pipe exoctic

SLP exhauast is made out of stainless steel and it doenst cost arm and a leg.
Its not like i cant afford a GMMG i just dont see why to buy it since it doesnt sound good on heads/cam cars with no cats. I can get the same sound by uncaping my cutout.

Re: What's so special about GMMG Exhaust?
Borla and Corsa have a nice look to them with dual tips

The GMMG LOOKS like it's something anyone could make in their back yard with a couple purple hornies and somet tubing.

I don't understand why it's so much $$$ either. $700, then another $150 if you want oval tips?

I'll keep my stainless steel Magnaflow setup for $280 thank you very much.
