Whats quieter?
Right now i have dynomax bullits on... and they are wayyyy to loud because my neighbors flip, I get pulled over, and everyones scared of my car. Not to mention I have to park 2 blocks away if I need to sneak into a girls house late night...
So in shopping for exhaust and searching for hours on the forum ive narrowed it down a little, It seems most people think the Magnaflows, Dynomax, Corsa, Borla, and Hooker aero chambers are some of the quietest. But my question is what mufflers are the quietest out of the ones ive mentioned. I have 3" true duels so I cant really go back to stock, and will prolly be putting in a cut-out so performance isnt to much of an issue but would be nice.

I can tell you my friend has the hooker and that's what I'm thinking about doing. I can't even carry on a friggin conversation and my whole damn center console vibrates. I mean the cutout sounds sick and all and people think car sounds like a race car but damn after riding in my friend's muffled z28 I realized having exhaust exiting out the back instead of under you makes a really big difference. The hooker has a really nice tone and it very quiet under light acceleration and crusing but it sounds nice at WOT (I don't think you will be hitting WOT trying to sneak into a girls house). So yea, I have one vote for the Hooker. Dynomax sounds good too but the Hooker is quieter... I hate Borla, and I have not heard Corsa or Magnaflow. Good luck!
Well if you're running true duals, you're going to need a smaller muffler you can cram under the car. As you probably already noticed, the Dynomax bullet mufflers don't really have much in the way of packing material which is why they're so loud. I know Magnaflow, Dynomax, and Borla all make slightly larger mufflers with more packing material in them and they should fit under the car with true duals. Check out Summit, they should be easy to find there. As for which one is the quietest, I'm not sure since I haven't heard this style muffler before.
the slp mufflers are quiet at low rpm too. my totl is very quiet. but if you want a quiet muffler, just replace the muffler with a stock muffler and there you go. you will still have the true 3" mandrel bent exhaust, but you will also have a quiet muffler.
You could use 2 of the purge chamber mufflers for the vette, made by B&B. There very quiet, until you stomp on it. I personally would go with the Hooker Aero Chamber, it has a nice tone under light acceleration and you can hear it under WOT.
I've got 3" Aerochamber on my car. I went from a flowmaster to it. It was considerable more quite. I later installed Jetcoated hooker headers and race pipe-- the car got QUITER!!! Its only slightly loud when WOT or no throttle in gear coasting. I love it.
Hooker does make a single aerochamber that has a duel inlet and duel out let. www.holley.com
