whats need for hot cam

Im new on the board and have just recently purchased a set of pacesetter lt's. I am also considering buying the hot cam kit and having it installed at the same time. If I were to buy the hot cam kit, what else would I need to buy so it would run correctly and to its fullest potential. What kind of tune would I need to have done?

Thanks

Matt

Just make sure you have all the basic bolt-on mods. A stall will help a lot if you have an A4, and changing the rear end will improve your car.

For tuning, I would either have someone tune it at a shop(preferably dyno tune). That will give you the most performance compared to any other tune.

Alright thanks. I was just making sure I didn't need pushrods or anything else for the cam.

Thank again

New pushrods are a good idea and they're cheap. I got new Comp Cams hardened ones for $36. Get at least a new stock timing set, I wouldnt reused the original one. www.pcmforless.com does very good tuning for the hotcam kit, thats what I used.
