The only mustang that will be a race to the camaro is the 03' cobbra because of the supercharger. I don't care how high the demand is, that doesn't make it fast. Most people just like the looks/ sound of the mustang and they aren't addicted to the power like we camaro drivers are. Do whatever will make you happy in the long run but if you like the pick-up of your camaro, you are going to be sinking a lot of money into the mustang just to get is as quick as your camaro was stock.

when my car was having serious computer problems and i was going to the track runnin high 13 low 14 (same as stock lt1 times), i ran into a 2001 cobra (the licence plate was 01cobra) and i was right next to it 0-70, not trying terribly hard

not to mention the years where they said they had 305 horses, then had a big problem bc it was 20-30hp short of that.. i beleive many were called back to be fixed, they had changed around some specs on the exhuast and ? whatever, none of them were dyno'ing what they were said to

unless u have a decently modded, light fox body 5.0 or the new cobras with superchargers, u need to do SO MUCH to make the stangs (4.6's) move

 

this is true!!!.....dont go for the cobra. a friend of mine bought a mystic cobra (96). It did not turn out to be what we thought it would be. Please rethink it.


TRUE TRUE!!! another friend of mine has a 92 cobra (its black with black leather...........only 1000 made....its very rare.......plus it only has about 35k miles on it too!!!!).........anyways he has a few mods to it, and it will take my car!! But it does have trouble handling a couple of my friends ls1's ...................."theres no replacement for displacement"................................i would like an ls1, (someone just ran into my lt1 and when it gets fixed i might sell it and get one)......it is a real interesting story as to what happened.......if you wanna know here is the link to it Scotts wreck story ..............a chevy administrator hit me at the dealership today
