You guys need to learn to speak ENGLISH. This thread is driving me insane.

It's three words with three meanings. Learn what they mean before using any of them.

so are Top Fuel engines, they all are about 10 times louder than any LT1 on the planet.
They also run nitromethane instead of conventional pump gas.

You missed my point about how aluminium engines are quieter than cast iron, theres nothing to that. I think it may have to do with the newer style catalytic convertors on the LS1, there being two of them, and the smoother firing order... I've heard full exhaust LS1's and they are by no stretch of the imagination "quiet".

I agree on that, but if you put a full exhaust on an LT1 that is the same as a full exhaust on the LS1, the LT1 is still going to be louder. Another good friend of mine has a C5 (now he has a Z06) with FLP longtubes, no cats and no mufflers and it sounds like SH*T....but loud. With the exhaust that I'm doing in a few weeks (LTs to high flow cats to H-pipe to dynomax mufflers with turndowns), I'm going to be sounding alot better then what his C5 did. It doesn't really matter who is louder, it matters most which sounds the best at a certain sound level and RPM.

My $.02.
