180-195- 160 t-stat, fans on lo/hi at 180/190
That's with the AC off, and the heat off as well
Haven't had problems with the cooling system since I got tuning and the temps no longer went up to 230.

 

Mine usually stays right around 160-180. I have never seen it higher than 180 after I got the overheating problem fixed. I have 160tstat, fans come on at 180degrees, and electric waterpump.

 

the hottest ive seen mine since the rebuild is about 175ish. i have a new radiator, electric water pump and a block that was recently dipped to clean all the water passages. not to mention that i have all new coolant hoses. plus programming to turn on the fans at 170/180. this can be the hottest day of the year and sitting still for hours. (only thing that really sucks is i havent gotten my a/c hooked back up yet... )

before i used to average about 210ish. maybe a little higher.

 

180-185 is about all mine sees. I have 160 stat and tune.

 

190 for me, i have a 180 tstat and no tune, no switch. i have only one operating fan and its jumped to stay on all the time. whole cooling system is new (radiator, tstat, hoses, pump, coolant etc..)

 

Do you have a fan switch or fans on early programming? Mine doesn't go over 180 and I have an electric waterpump, fans on early and a 160 t-tstat.

 

I have a 160 thermostat and madz28 tuning. It doesn't go above 185 or so now. Before it would get up to 210-220 if I sat long enough.

 

Going by my scanmaster my temps are between 173-175 about 90% of the time. That is with my A/C blasting and cruising down the road usually. If I get caught up in really slow moving traffic it sometimes creeps up to 180-185 but not for long. That is also on days when the temps are usually about 95* with a heat index of 110*.
My cooling system mods are: *160 thermostat *Manual Fan Switch *Ion tunning *Flushed and Replaced Antifreeze with Water and 2 Bottles of Redline WW

 

Second dash mark, 160 thermo, tune, water wetter, about 60/40, stock pump and radiator.

 

Mine only hits about 170-175...I have a 160 thermo, EWP, and a PCM tune

how can i check if my primary fan is kicking on?neither one of fan's seemed to kick on when i turn on the a/c,but it doesnt over heat or nothing,my car gets around 230-240ish as well,everything is stock to my knowledge, how hard,and is there any concern of leaking to replace the thermostat to a 160?anything else need to be done at the same times???i just bought a brand new radiator as well,thanks alot.

oh my car is a 97 z 6 speed,live in western md between 70-90 degrees on average with high humidity.

 

thats a lil hot...you should be checking your fan relays to make sure they are operating. jump the relays to make sure they kick on, and see how strong they are running.

 

Same here. I don't think I've ever seen 185. I voted 170, thinking that would be a sliver before the 1/4 mark, but that would actually be 180.

 

About 190 is as high as it ever gets, in 100+ degree heat and NC humidity sitting in traffic with the A/C blasting. At any sort of speed it usually runs at around 180 in the same weather conditions. In the winter time it usually runs around 175-180 as well.

I have a stock stat, water wetter, and CAM tuning.

It is going to be an inferno tommorrow also. But the Camaro is staying at the house.
