I usually upgrade brakes and suspension before trying to make more power. The way I see it, it's better to have a good solid handling and stopping platform to build on before adding more power to the mix.

In a couple weeks I'll have an LPE cai for sale. Looks like a stock peice. Comes with a K&N filter. You can find them cheap used. Don't care if you buy mine or not, but go the used route for as much as you can and save a ton of money.

if you plan on getting gears hold of on the skip shift eliminator because you will need a tune if you get gears and they can tune ut the skip shift. also I liked the feeling my subframe connectors lower control arms and pan hard bar gave me. also a short throw shifter is a must. but if power is the way you want to spend your money cold air intake headers and fullexhaust

Thats where I would start, some of the easier things to knock out right away.

do the bolt-ons first, headers, y-pipe, CAI, and a nice tune then start from the rear. I wish I would have done my suspension+rearend before the heads and cam. Right now its like russian roulette when I launch the car, is it gonna blow or not?

"THE MOD THE 1995 Z28 CAMARO LIST"

1.) SKIP SHIFT ELIMINATOR "CAGS"- This device is easy to change but your reverse lock out solenoid connector looks identical to this. Make sure you do not put it in the place of your reverse lockout solenoid or you'll notice its a bitch to put into reverse.

2.) Throttle Body Bypass- Do this mod as long as you do not live up North where it gets to be 10 degrees or below zero.. If you live in a warm state definately do this mod. Appx 6 horse increase at the cost of 2 dollars ... and 15 minutes of time.

3.) Cold Air Induction- Simply and easy to do. Pick up another 10 horses. Cold air kits are around 170 new or 100 bucks used. Moroso, Lingenfelter, K&N are some good kits.

4.) Sway Bar- At least get a hollow 32mm up front. These can be found used 60-120 bucks. You'll barely feel 10 horses but when you take a corner with a 32mm bar you'll definately notice and make your car more fun to drive. Does not effects ride quality at all.

5.) LS1 Brake Upgrade- One of the best mods I ever did to my car. I am going C5 upgrade next but the LS1 upgrade is cheaper. LT1 Single piston 11 inch rotor is no match for the LS1 dual piston 12 inch rotor set up. (I have some of the parts for this set up if u want)

6.) Cat back exhaust- Car sounds meaner... about 10 horses... 250-650 dollars depending on the cat back system.

7.) Underdrive pulley- As long as you dont have an aftermarket sound system with amps this is a nice inexpensive mod. 90 bucks for 5 horses or so and increase the life of your other components on the belt since they are being underdriven.

8.) Subframe connectors- Gets rid of some of the creeks and rattles, increases integrity of the car, helps keep the t-tops from leaking.

I would start with these mods. And do them in about that order.

There is no need for a tune until you get headers. And at that time you'll want to add a 160 thermostat and change you fan settings to 180 degrees with your tune. I noticed my SLP headers threw off more heat in the engine bay and the car ran hotter until i changed the thermostat and fan settings. Headers can be a pain because of the header exhaust leaks, and burning everything that happens to touch them. They are a nice horsepower upgrade but you run a higher risk of having problems later down the line with little stuff (burning wires, exhaust leaks, header bolts backing out etc)
