What will I need to make a low impedance injector work in my lt-1?

thanks

I’m sure you’ll need a new ECM like DFI or FAST, both have the ability to run low impedance injectors which the factory PCM couldn’t.

Re: what's the difference between high/low impedance injectors??

The low impedance injectors take a larger current to operate, at least until they open, then reduce the current levels. The result is an injector that can open and close faster, allowing large flow injectors to be "turned down" to the small pulsewidths required at idle. This takes a matching high amperage driver in the ECU. There is a "black box" convertor available for the LT1 PCM that allows it to drive low impedance injectors. I don't have a link available, but you might want to try a "search", or wait for someone else to post the link.

Go here for the converter box http://acceleronics.com/ I've been using it for 72# injectors for about 6months and it works great, The Low Z injectors are more responsive than the High Z and I have a little better idle.

My 50#er's were at 97% duty cycle at 5700 rpm on 5psi boost. I'm at about 550 rwhp for now til I put it on a wideband and tune a little more and maybe up the boost

There is also a guy in Michigan that makes low impedence P & H injector drivers/convertor, that is usable for the LTx engine variety of vehicles.

No website I am aware of, but email is: DRhoads2@aol.com

Last I heard, Lingenfelter was using his low impedence injector drivers/convertor.
