Whats the best RVT to use?

Simple question. The stuff the guy used on my intake was great, but I cant remember the name. Its whiteish gray looking and sticks like glue. Any Ideas...Ild like to get some more.

I used Permatex Ultra Copper. Good up to 700* and haven't had a drop of oil since the fix. If you are really hardcore, go for the red RTV, that's header sealant and good up to almost 1500*. Not sure about the stuff you have now though.

i dunno what you have on your car now but the Permatex Ultra Copper is good till 750 degrees but i would use the black permatex. the red i thought was only good under 600 degrees.

Copper Permatex, always works, never had any leaks. Heck, for my torn oil pan gasket, I mean torn completely off at the timing cover, I just caked the corners with this stuff, and it worked wonders. My old Z I did this with, and I had 15,000 trouble free miles, and about 100 track passes...

Probably used Permatex Ultra Grey... it's a good sealant that alot of import engine builders use. The blue stuff is good too and I've never had a leak using it. As for the red (not the copper)... alot of engine builders won't use it.. saying the stuff corrodes aluminum.

Thanks.....Ive been thinking and now I want to say it was made by ARP.....do they make RVT.....I know they make thread sealer...maybe he used that. The stuff was harder to get off than any of the permetex stuff Ive used.
