Ok- i've found this 97 Z28 a4 with 78k miles.. its in NICE condition

but- the motor is blown up..- dunno if it has a cracked head or what is wrong..

the bottom end seems fine..

but what happened was the car overheated ( imagine that- an LT1 overheating) but the kid just kept driving it while it was hot, and when he got it home it took like 3 hours to get the temp gauge to go down the the 210 mark supposedly..

The car will start, but takes lots of cranking- and when you do get it started it puffs blue/grey smoke and runs like ****.. popping and idling wierd as hell,

but no moisture in the oil..
the car has sat for 8months in the same spot..

Anyways- i want to know how much it would be worth to offer them for it..- I know i could fix it..- then i'd have somethin to drive daily..

I wouldnt give him more than a grand for it, be like "this thngs a piece of sh*#t ill give you 400bucks" and see what he says

 

$1500. I'd give more if it was an M6.

 

It is worth what ever you are willing to pay for it and not a penny more. Figure that if it is for sale, that the owner does not intend to repair the motor and without a motor......JMHO

 

well- the most i'd offer them would be $3grand.. - the body is in NICE shape..Leather too..

real clean.. and Nada on the car if it ran was like $7600..

but it doesnt run so....

but i only paid 4700 for my 94 z m6 and its 351rwhp 398#ft tq....

so i think i got a good deal on it..

 

i paid $3600 for my 1995 z28 m6 with all the bells and whistles. and to top it off, the thing is an immaculate california car. the leather isn't even cracked.

 

Damn- i'd say you got one hell of a deal!.. mine needs some interior work....

but im more into makin it go faster lol..

lol- i wouldnt complain- sounds like you got a nice *** car.. I was more into - what all had been done to make it faster though.. lol...

Now i need one for a daily driver b/c this one is like - in between race car or daily driver...

 

well that mighthave been what it WAS worth but with a blown motor it doesnt matter what he says, please dont pay 3000 and get ripped off

 

So 3k would be about the max- .. and that would be if the car is in mint condition.- its nice, i mean really nice, but you know- its a 97 so its not like NEW or anything..

 

I agree, $3K is a little too much for me if you can't really drive the car. I would offer around $1500 but not much more. It may look nice but no telling what else the kid did to it so new motor might lead to new transmission as well.......and then of course it just snow ***** from there
