what year was putting out the most power for the lt1's?

 

Technically a 97SS or WS6 is rated the highest at 305... Though you can make the same amount of power out of any year fbody.

 

A standard Z28 or Formula was rated at 285 horse for 96-97 and 275 horse for 93-95 (some 95's did receive 285 horse if they had the California emissions package-dual cats)

 

Was the '94 Corvette motor an LT1? if so it was rated at 405hp....

 

You're talking about the ZR1, which had an LT5. That was not the standard Corvette. The base Corvette had 300 hp, 25 more than the F-body thanks to a freer flowing airbox and exhaust.

Is this a question for some history lesson? They are all so close it doesn't even matter, unless you want to hunt down an SS/WS6, which is half sticker package, half couple bolt ons you can do for less.

LT5 was nowhere near anything like an LT1 in price, or design. Those Vettes were often stickered at $100,000 when they hit the floor.
