The only reason you would want to not pay it off would be if you want to make mistakes in life while your young so you can learn from them later...

yah...im young but smart and i know most young people would just get upgrades...but it looks to me like you have a pretty lengthy list already so i would pay it off and have no more worries

Pay it off!!!

Nothing suck worse than making payments on a car that is just sitting, wasting away because you broke a tranny or rear end.

OK, in that cause build away.........see how long the factory wore-out engine last. Not trying to be a dick but if you do the things you're talking about, I don't "think" it will last long and then you WILL build a motor or walk. And WHEN you build the motor, if it's built good, it WILL cost more than what you plan on spending. Once again, not trying to be a dick but that's the way life works and what you have to expect. JMHO.

I'd say, give like 3000 towards the bank, and put 2000 away for a rainy day. That way if anything breaks, you have 2000 dollars you cover you. And then you can finish paying it off. For me though, I like to have the piece of mind and comfort, and be able to sleep good at night knowing I have some money aside for emergencies, more so then going fast.
