Here's what I'd do:

400 crank HP (at least) - All bolt-ons, AI 226/234 cam, dyno-tune.

400 wheel HP - AI 200cc ported stockers, matched cam, all bolt-ons.

You have an M6 so that's a bonus right there.

^ That, select your parts carefully and learn everything BEFORE you build and it's not difficult at all. Of course everyone has their favorite head porter, I've used Lloyd Elliott and GTP, but AI can get you there too.

It can be done using shelf parts but it'll typically cost the same or more for less power. AFR/DART heads with Lunati cam could be an option.

Ok so what exactly do you mean by 'all bolt ons'?

I was thinking LE since i dont think i've read a bad thing about his work.

Also, approximately how much labor should a shop be charging me - just so i dont get ripped off?

thanks
