What will i need to run a 12.9 and i cant get headers

these are my mods

tci 3000 stall 10" converter, flowmaster exhaust but i put a dynomax bullet in place of the muffler, no cat, 3.23's, sfc, no cat, stb, moroso cai, panhardbar, and pos kumho 711 ecsta's

 

4.10's, a sticky tire, and a nice breath of good air. A few more bolt-ons wouldnt hurt.

 

Why no headers?

I've seen 12s done several ways.

LTs, catback, tune, LCAs, tires
Gears, catback, tune, LCAs, tires
LTs, catback, tune, CAI, tires
LCAs, tires, stall, tune and catback might work too.

There are a million recipes for 12s in an LT1. You're close. Get some tires and launch that bitch hard and you just might make it.

 

Well I'd recomend you get two...

 

Seriously why not get headers? If you just don't want to do the install I can tell you from personal experience that installing pacesetter LTs really wasn't that hard at all, just time consuming.

 

all i did was install nosand got 12.3

 

Headers, 3.73's, custom tune and sticky tires will get you there easy. Plus some time on the track.

I HAVE 394RWHP AND CAN'T GET INTO THE 12'S

 

On what tires? What's your launch technique?

 

I have a friend with a stock motor, m6 94 vette. He has a full exhaust, CAI, 52mm TB and a custom tune... that's it. No cam, no heads, no weight reduction, etc. He runs consistent 12.5's with DR's. With his new tune and more practice, I think he will beat that. Of course... he races pro Auto-X and has been in driving schools since he was a kid, but it just shows you what a good driver and a lot of track time can do.

 

i have nittos and a 6 speed i have a really hard time. i need to let someone drive my car maybe javier i think he goes to bradenton, and i know he can drive.

 

Do you get wheel hop? Spin? Bog?

Having someone else try it seems like a good idea.
