Problems after Heads/Cam install

Hi Everybody,

I'm having few problems with my LT-1 Z/28 after heads/cam swap. If you can help out I'd appreciate it!

First, I installed ARF heads, Comp cam, headers (with no cats) and a 6 speed swap. The car was dyno tuned about a month ago. I took the car out the other day for the first time. Here is what it did:

-Runs PIG rich, and blows bluish/black smoke out of the pipes.
-won't idle down now under 1200 or 1300. (It idled at 900 after tune)
-Threw a check engine light (no I have not scanned it)
-Oil leak underneath

Here are my worries:
-Extra crank case pressure blew out rear main
-Missing or torn valve seal
-Damaged valve guide
-internal intake or head gasket leak

Other note/observation: Car ran somewhat better after I opened gas cap and gas cap hissed while opening (must have built up some pressure).
Also, rotating assembly was not touched during the modifications. has 58k on the clock, and cylinders were in excellent shape /still had hone marks.

Any help would be appreciated!!!!!

Hi Craz95,

The car is in NE minneapolis at our shop. I didn't know you were on this board!
what can the scanner tell about what is happening? Will it just read codes?

Ya it'll just tell you what code got set. Not a big hi-tech one. I kind of figured it was still at your shop. Don't want to drive it with it acting up. I had to ask just in case. I was going to say I could run over to your work on break but NE Mpls is too far for a 15 min. break. I could go to your shop with you Wednesday or Thursday evening ( after 6 ) to scan it for you.
I've been on here longer than MNFBC. Notice the 81 in the screen name. That was long before I had the 95. Sold the 81 to get the 95. Much happier now.

I might go down to the shop on Thursday night so if you wanted to come down at take a tour of the place and maybe try to get a little debugging done that would be cool! Shoot me a PM on MNFB if your week shapes up and things work out w/ your schedule! I knew I could count on my local F-body Bro's!

Thanks Craz81/95!!!!!
