Got a LPE camshaft along with 1.7 rrs. I got everything to do the swap. I am just down to the valvespring angle right now. it is the lpe 213/219 cam lift with 1.7rrs is .523/.533 What valve springs should i go with, and can I use the stock seats and stuff, or is there a kit I can get? My cam swap friend refuses to work with shims to anything with shims is out of the question i guess. lol

 

CC 986 would be fine. CC987 has more of a max lift, and is a slightly stronger spring. 986 max lift .560, 987 max lift .600. Both are dual coil.

 

The cam manufacturer are the best people to ask and not a lot of opinions that may or may not work with your set up.

 

the springs the recommend are hotcam springs.... i would use them except im using 1.7 rrs. so I gotta use something a bit more stiffer. do the 986s drop right in??? what is needed to use them

 

comp # 987-16. That's what im running

 

These 986 will require locators pn 4771 and the specific retainers and locks.
Other options are Comp Behives, Crane 10308.
Whatever spring you choose, you must check installed hight and bring them close together by using shims.
