Question What valve springs for cc306?

I am running a cc305 right now. I am running the Comp Cam 983-16 valve springs, with the 751-16 retainers, and 613-16 locks. My question is will those valve springs work with the cc306? If not what springs can I upgrade to without maching the head? I am also running 1.6 rockers. Thanks!

I think you'll need at least comp 987's for those lift numbers on the 306. 987's will do up to and maybe more then .600 lift.

Try CombinationMotorsports...they have a spring that can handle .600 lift w/o any head machining, complete with everything you need to install for about $90.

Do I have to machine the heads for those springs? Can I use the same locks and retainers?
