There are 2 cooling lines off of my A4 transmission and 2 spots for them on the radiator. I just put in a new radiator and transmission (and many other things) and I don't know which line goes where. Or does it even matter?

Also, does anyone have a part number for the lines, or should I just get 2 braided lines made?

That's a good question. Did you forget or something when you took it apart? Gotta put my motor back together soon so I would like to know this too.

 

I don't think it should matter. Either way tranny fluid will pump through the radiator and then back to the tranny. I just want someone to tell me for sure.

The bottom line feeds the cooler and the top line returns to the trans.

Yep top line is return line.

 

Like for me...the lines are completely off. Which hole on the trans is the return hole????

 

The line on the bottom goes to the fitting at the bottom of the radiator, and the top line, the one with the end is rubber goes to the top.

 

The top line or return line goes in the top hole on the trans.
