What is too much lift? (cam question)

I was thinking of putting in the CC306 cam. I see that it has a lift of .510/.540 with 1.5 rockers. I was thinking of chaning to 1.6 roller rockers and my question is won't this increase my lift? If so then how much lift will it increase it to? How much is too much for a stock lt1 engine? I wasn't sure if I would run into clearance problems or not. Any advice would be great. thanks!

P.S. I'm planning on running K-Motion 800 Springs.

I think you can't go .600.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

My cam is .569/.577 with 1.6rr.

You can go over .600 lift on a stock bottom end. But you also have to consider the other specs of the cam, as they play as big or bigger of a roll in clearance than lift does.

Are you referring to duration or lap?

Or the point where the valve it down and the piston is TDC?

What is the max lift we can go with reasonable or shorter duration?

im getting ready to run a custom grind with .606 on the intake i would have been fine with .600 springs but i would crash between the retainers and the seals when you get into any after market cam make sure to meashure out every thing and take into acount every part in the engine just too be safe and then double check it just my 2 cents
