I am pretty sure it is 1850... I do remember reading that somewhere.

It isn't 1,300 though.

The way the question is worded doesn't make a lot of sense. The same converter will stall at different speeds depending on how much torque the motor is making. So you need to specify what motor is being used.

This is what it is

When i had my converter removed when I had my tranny redone, I asked what was the stall, my guy read it off the converter. Its rated at 1235 rpm's

Mine is a 94 a4 4L60E.

The actual stall varies depending on the motor, mods, gearing, weight etc etc.

The converter is stock. So, I don`t see what it matters as to what has been done to the motor. I don`t know alot about converters. Teach me as to why the motor mods would matter. I am just curious.

The motor has everything to do with it. Put a converter that stalls at 2000rpm on a stock small block behind a blown big block. It would probably run up to 4-5,000rpm or more. Look at http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/80098/ or http://www.autopro.8k.com/torqueconverter2.html for some information.

The converter responds to torque, it is not a rev limiter!

Ok. I have pretty much every bolt on with ported heads and the hotcam kit and 3.73`s.

Under those circumstances you may be able to hold the car with the brakes and see what the stall actually is. Most likely it will be in the 1,800-2,000rpm range, a little higher than a completely stock motor in any case.

or you can be dumb like me and get an SLP 2400 stall for a 383 hoping it would flash around 3000 only to find out they are worthless pieces of crap and mine flashes lower than stock.
and then i found out their customer service sucks too
