I read a lot of negative comments about the Taylor wires but i've had good luck with them and a set of NGK TR-55s.

I've never heard anything bad about taylors...

I've been running Taylor 8mm spiropro's for um, 5 years now I think.. great wires, fit in the stock looms.

I'll be replacing 'em with a set of OTVC wires shortly, also Taylor's.

NGK TR55's are a good stock / bolt on car plug.

got Taylor 8mm OVC wires and NGK TR55 plugs from thunderracing. both very nice, only thing that sucked a little was crimping and making the ends work with the wires since they were cut to your own length. other than that awesome stuff.

I had two sets of taylors arc, MSD's fixed it 90 percent, and I am going with elitesparkplugs.com this spring. GM rapidfires are the shizznit!

Re: what are some good spark plugs and wires?

I wrote a little tech article on wires which can be found at www.kennedysdynotune.com, look in the "Tech Tips" dropdown. I have used the following three brands and think they are all good. I am sure therre are others.

Taylor
MSD
ACCEL

Taylor 8mm wires. NGK TR55s if you have bolt-ons, Autolite 104s if you're making decent power / spraying.

That is helpful. I'm a little surprised that a higher pressure mixture in the cylinder will have higher resistivity but now I know why ignition systems need to be upgraded. But why not just use a smaller gap in the plugs instead of upping the voltage through coil and wires? It would be cheaper.

Re: what are some good spark plugs and wires?

I was running Taylor 8mms and NGK TR-55s on my old setup. I have since upgraded to over the valve cover wires from www.elitesparkplugs.com to go with my long tubes. I am still running the NGK plugs though.

Re: what are some good spark plugs and wires?

I did the ngk tr6's, but you are n/a. so i would do the 55's from NGK, theyre good plugs. Oh, and i would do the MSD 8.5mm super conductor wires, excellent. Victory has both.
