What size is the mian pipe running to the muffler?

What size is the mian pipe running to the muffler?

I am going to get an electric cutout from DMH perfromance and im afraid if i get one for the stock size pipe that i will be screwed later if i get a catback that has a larger diameter pipe. What do you guys think? Thanks

2.75"

the standard 3" unit will work perfect.

If i decide to get a catback later, arent they larger though? Like the Hooker Catback? THen i will need a new 200.00 cutout. Or are they the same size?

most catbacks (except mufflex 3.5" and 4") are 3", meaning you can just cut the cutout off and reweld it to the catback.

and realize that the $200 goes to the electric cutout motor and mounting plate.

the cutout itself is only $35 from summit or jegs. so you could easily replace that with the new exhaust and bolt the electric plate up to it...

this is what the e-cutout plate looks like (this happens to be my QTP...but it should be similar), which is the majority of the cost for an e-cutout
