What size is the inlet on hooker dual/dual tips?

Just a quick question. I want to buy some from a z28.com seller, but I want to make sure they will fit. I have 3" duals dumped at the axle right now. Would it hurt performance if I reduced to 2" or 2.5" so I could connect to the tips if they were indeed that small at the inlet?

Hooker dual tips are 2.5 inch. I got the Hooker catback but I gave my tips away as I am not a big fan of them. They do tend to rust, so paint the insides to help fight off the rust. In fact I painted the insides on all by pipes before installing. I opted for oversized stainless mailbox tips from Tennessee Tips. I doubt having a 2.5 inch tip would hurt performance any.

Its not gonna hurt your performance to reduce the size of the tailpipes itself even, let alone the tips. If you reduce the size for the tailpipes, it will be even easier to route them over the axle. You don't have enough power to need 3" true duals as is so I wouldn't worry about it. With that said, i wouldn't reduce to a 2" pipe tho, it just doesn't make sense to have a true dual 3" system and reduce it down that far...2.5" will be fine however.
