What is on the Side of the heads

What is on the Side of the heads

I know the hole on the side of the driverside head is for the coolant temp sensor, but what is the hole on the pass. side for? I had my heads ported and left the 2 things in the heads, and didnt get them back. Thanks Paul

You just need to plug the passenger side hole.

The pass side hole is also for the coolant temp sensor. Think about it, the heads are identicle, so if you swapped them from side to side, the hole would need to be there.

Same reason there are 2 holes plugged in the front, so you can swap sides and still retain the reverse flow cooling
