What should i do
ok I bought a 95 firebird formula from the original owner, it has 120 thousand miles on it. when i bought the car it was completly stock, the guy who owned the car took really good care of it plus he was older so i dont think he was hottroding it to much. he told me hes only ran moble 1 synthetic 5w30 oil in it. since Ive put a few mods on the car nothin major but ive only put about a thousand mile on it since last year. now im wanting to put a Comp Cam XE 227/234 or comp cam xe 224/230.do you think my cam bearings will be ok. im not wanting to have to rebuild the engine after words

My advice, if your worried about the bearings, dont cam it. That is why I didn't do mine until I had the money to do a rebuild on it. Camming a high mileage motor is always a gamble, it may run just fine for another 100k miles or it may spin a bearing after a day.
You gotta watch out for the older guys, they have the money for the really good parts.
AS far as the cam, if the motor does need a rebuild are you in a situation where you can do that? Ex. another driver or money to rebuild this one.
I'm not saying do/ don't do it just be prepared for the worst.
I perfer not to build things twice although sometimes I fall victim to my own oversight.

I ran Mobil 1 and my engine was super clean inside at 84k miles, hone marks and all. I was going to just cam mine, but when I took it apart the front cam bearing was pretty beat from the stock cam. I bet yours is worn significantly with half again that many miles. If I were you I'd wait until I could at least refresh the motor to cam it.
Just pull the motor, put new cam bearings in it, oil pump, timming chain, a cam while it's out. That's how we did my old stock motor. It's alot easier the first time working on one when it's out of the car.
