What rpms does a 383 stroker kick in?

Like the title says. when im first driving at around 20mph, and then gas it, it doesnt feel like it is going any faster. Only when im at about 50mph and gas it the damn thing flys. So what rpms does the stroker actually kick in?

first off we need to know the specifics about your car. like year, trans type, head/cam specs...

because if its a m6 car then try downshifting

Because your question is vague to the point that no one can help. I had a 383 stroker with a CC 501 and it had 80% of its max torque under 2000 rpm. That bitch would pull stumps but it would die at 5500 rpm. Was fun, I have to say.

Generate a sig.

The displacement of the engine has little to do with when it "kicks in".... that is determined primarily by the camshaft. Your 383 simply has 33 extra cubic inches... less than 10% over stock. If I recall correctly from your other posts, you are running stock heads with an LT4 HOT cam. That isn't going to be a whole lot different than a stock 350. A high stall convertor or a higher numerical rear axle ratio will also affect where it "kicks in".... but you haven't told us anything about your car, other than the engine is a 383.

Again... please use the "Advanced Tech" forum ONLY for advanced technolgy topics. We took the word "stroker" out of the forum topic listing, to reduce the number of people who use the forum for generic, low-tech questions.

And... I've suggested to you in numerous posts that you add a "signature", with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods. Without posting that info, people can't give you accurate answers, and in many cases don't even attempt to help. You are only hurting your chances of getting answers by refusing to provide the required info.

To that, let's add - enough "do I have a 383 or not" threads already!

Stop making new threads on the same subject.

Well maybe if you guys gave me positive feedback instead of being [edit] and leaving sarcastic answers then maybe i wouldnt have to ask the same question over and over.

Your getting that because your not listing all of the parts to the equation. You want people to blindly tell you when its going to kick in. What cam your running has a big effect on when your powerband starts for instance. Your attacking your question from the wrong angle calling people [edit].

Good luck.

Edit: just saw you have the hotcam with a 383, that might be the problem.

We have all given you the same answer, and it is really getting old. No one can truly help you until you know what you actually have in your car. So until you can tell us that, then there is no reason to keep asking the same question.

hahaha this kid is hillarious. First he doesnt know **** about his car and took the owners word for it. Now he puts all this stuff in his sig it claims to have which in reality would make it a rocket...then asks why its slow. I mean come on dude, put two and two together...It doesnt have what you think it does otherwise you wouldn't be asking. I don't know why you don't try and prove what was actually done to the car as 90% of it was probably sellers talk...seeing he had no proof or reciepts.

And BTW if you haven't noticed most of the people you get responses from in the LT1/LT4 section are going to be the same people, so posting the same question a thousand ways isn't going to draw a different crowd or answers.
