What RPM for shift light?
What RPM for shift light?
Just got my Harlan shift light in. What RPM should I setup my shiftlight for? Besides bolt-on's my car is stock. Also what is the stock rev-limiter set at? And What wires did anyone plug theirs into?
i set mine for 5900, i beleive the stock limiter is 6k...so that lets me shift just before the limiter kicks in...
experiment, set it for 5900, see if you hit the limiter, if you do, back it down a bit.

thanks for the help, I don't have LT1 Edit or any other programmer to adjust my rev limiter, set it at 5800 tried a few runs and hits rev limiter right as I shift, so I think I'm going to drop it down to 5700 so I don't hit the limiter. D*mn limiter

White wire, red connector on PCM, pin #13.
Stock rev limiter is 5750.
No reason to tach the car out that high. Stock cam stops making power at 55-5600.
Try running at the track taching it all the way out, then shift at 5500. Garantee you will go fater on the 5500.
