What Rev limit with Hot Cam kit? Shoebox?

I am going to install Hot Cam kit (1.6 rr, springs, ect.), and rebuild my engine (new Hypereutectic Speed Pro Pistons/rings/bearings/timing chain). I am also porting my heads (simple stage 1 job), and adding MAC shorties. I am going to do some custom programming (www.pcmforless.com). What rev limit should I set? I did a research and some people say that 6300 is to much and other say that 6600 is fine.
I found this dyno sheet that says that hot cam makes the peak HP at 6700

What RPM do you plan on shifting at? I'd just set your rev limiter up at 6800 or so and change gears at the RPM's you want.

You need some input from people that run the hot cam. That's not me. The rev limit is not only determined by what power the cam can make, it is what the bottom end can handle, too.

Hot cam kit springs will not handle 6600+ shifts for long. Redline on the LT4 Corvette with those springs was set at 6400 by GM. I would double check those dyno sheets, most hot cam cars peak around 6000-6200 anyway.

I wouldnt spin the bottom end much past 6400. Normally people set the limiter at about 6500, but shift at around 6200.

Mine made the most power at 6200. It was down 2hp at 6400 where I shut it down.

Yup....I started getting some SERIOUS float after a few months of 6600-6700 RPM shifts.
