Re: what psi for ET streets

You might want to try the Drag Race forum, but I'll help you out anyway.

ET streets like a lower pressure. 18-24psi is better suited for a drag radial, not a drag tire.

I found I hooked best with pressure at 14psi.

Keep in mind, chances are you're going to break something with ET streets, especially if you're an M6 and you launch hard.

What you want to do is run the highest air pressure that you can with still being able to hook. Obviously this all depends on your car setup. I started at 15psi and worked up to about 17psi being best. Just a small burnout was all I needed and even then, when I dumped the clutch at 4000rpm the car bogged down.

What 94 CAMRO Z28 said, the highest pressure possible and still be able to hook. It will help your ET and be a little more stable when you let off the gas.
