what pistons

just wondering which pistons is should use when i go to do my rebuild, what are some of you guys in here using? im going to be boring 30 over and just wondering what pistons have been used in these engines with success, im looking at a speed pro rebuild kit from summit with forged pistons, anyone ever use this kit? says comp ratio is 10.4 to 1 with a 58 cc head (i thought stock lt1s were smaller than this?), but if i get ai heads then they will shave the heads to whatever comp ratio i want right? will just any small block piston work in an lt1 or do they have to be light weight? ill be having my machinist balance the whole assembly before it goes back in anyways.... just for reference what is the stock head combustion chamber volume and stock comp ratio?

If you are going with AI heads give them a call, they sell rotating assemblys.

Static comp ratio is not the big deal,it's dynamic compression ya need to worry about.
Your cam will determine what DCR is.
If ya are running a big cam(250* ID up) then 12/12.5-1 is in order on the static so it will run to it's max.

This all has to be figured before deciding on any parts purchasing.

I really like the Mahle pistons if you're planning on staying NA.
