What are the most common problems with the T56????
My Six Speed just locked into 4th gear. I can't get it out for the life of me. I just had it rebuilt in June with a steel 3-4 shift fork and carbon syncros. What the hell is the deal? I have seen people on here with 100,000+ miles on their M6 and they have had no problems. I don't have amazing horespower, nor do I beat up my car.
I do, however, downshift often and occasionally run through the gears. I never grind gears, and I always rev-match. This really frustrates me. Any ideas???

I just had this problem, but it locked out 4th, and wouldnt stay in 3rd. Thought it was the fork, ordered it, took the tranny apart and found out it was the expander ring inside the synchro that holds the outside slider from going into gear
