I've run Dex-Cool in my 94 Formula since my first flush and fill about 7 years ago. Never any problems of any kind. The shop that built my engine concurs with this choice.

It is important that you TOTALLY flush the system before switching one way or the other. Remember, to drain the block, you need to pull the block drain plugs, including the knock sensor.
i dont see why there would be a prob the cooling system didnt change only the coolant

Dexcool came in 96+ GM vehicles, pre 96 was green. You can convert to dexcool if you have a pre 96 car without any problems. Dexcool is a 150,000mile/5 year coolant this is the advantage to it, it IS the BEST coolant on the market, it WILL NOT harm any gaskets or water pumps. If you mix the 2 coolants (green and dexcool) it will eliminate the long life aspect of the dexcool, your car will still stay cool it will just not last the 150,000/5 years.

my car had the green stuff when i bought it, alot of ppl told me that eats away the aluminum... but that wasnt the case cuz it didnt :P

they said its just a longetivity issue...

use what is meant to be used for the car...

did u know BMW/merz/vw and all those brands have their own coolant, and if u use anything else, your warranty will be voided?

some water wetter dont hurt either

Alot of companies use a coolant similar to dexcool, but none last 150k/5years...most of the others last 100k.
