Re: What kind of mph should 390rwhp give you?

My car weights 3750 with me in it (motor below), and I have ran 11.92 @ 115.4, my best mph is a 116.2. my 60 foot on the above run was a 1.72.

our elevation is about 1500 at the track.

A guy in our local F-body club has a loaded out T/A as well, CC306, full exhaust and pro ported heads (6 speed) he dynoed at 390 something hp, 380 something torque and his mphs on the same day were in the 113 range.

Then you go on the other end of the spectrum and an LS1 that had full exhaust and 150 shot of nitrous, dynoed 480 something (auto) he ran mid 11s at 119 mph.

Their is way too many factors to consider to get an accurate answer. For example, I dyno'd 384rwhp and the very next day with no changes I ran 12.12 at 111.11 with a 1.68 60ft. Peak rwhp means nothing, you gotta look at the torque curve. Also, I've done more tuning and lost some weight off the car and it trapped 116.7 in 2350DA, which means would've been ~118mph in good weather. I just dyno'd again a few weeks ago and it was 378rwhp and I ran a 12.6 at 111 with a 1.99 60ft tonight. Although it does have a stumble right now.

You can manipulate dyno numbers. That is why there is not really a standard. The only way to compare would be to take two cars that dynoed at the same place and run them on the same day at the same track.

Dynos are for tuning .

I trapped 110 MPH with a 329 RWHP m6 car @3700LBS

I am thinkin 114-116 MPH for a M6, 112-114 for an auto depending on weight.
