There was a website posted on here somewhere that corrected times for temp/humidity/sea level elevation and it showed a corrected of about 108.6 MPH for my 106. So I guess if I take it to the track again and squeeze an 108 out of it, I'll be (somewhat) happy.

my buddies LT1 TA, made 383rwhp on motor, through a stalled auto, that car went 117. All the typical weight reduction, still had ac in though.

I would think more like 116-117. Myself with just a hotcam on stock heads/intake/tb with stock gearing have been trapping around 108... Last time at the track I had a run that was 108.8.

Re: What kind of mph should 390rwhp give you?

I have 3.73s and I put out 390rwhp and 340lb ft of torque.

I went 12.11@116mph with a 1.868 60 foot.

This guy is saying I should be running 109-110mph and that I'm lying about my mph.

My 1/8th mile was 91mph.

I hope you dont think it was me ... I based my figuires on an equation; guessing on elaps time and coverting FPS into MPH.... I though it was alittle low.. There are too many factors to consider times and MPH...

It just give me a basic start...

No no. Its on a different msg board.

He drives an '03 Cobra and he's getting his panties in a bunch because I beat him once already and he's sore about it.

RWHP already takes the drivetrain loss into account, by definition.

What Ion means is that the M6's have an advantage in the mph area because we get 4 gears for our 1:1 ratio (before oevrdrive gears) where as an auto has 3 gears. That means less drop off in rpms between each gear shift.

Re: What kind of mph should 390rwhp give you?

In that case, A4 cars would trap the same as M6 cars if they had the same amount of power. The difference is from what RealQuick mentioned above and the fact that on the dyno, the stock stall will lock at around 85 (for 93) and 95 MPH for 94-97 cars, which will create bigger numbers. This being in 3rd gear, you will run most of your run at the track with slightly lower power than what the dyno showed.

I thought the torque convertors didn't lock up at WOT?

Yes they do.

85 MPH for 3.23 gear 93.
95 MPH for 3.23 gear 94-97.
