What kind of intake?

I have a 93 camaro, lt1, and I was wondering what you would recommend as an intake system. My buddy who has a 95 lt1 is telling me to get a K&N because they are pretty much the best, but then when I talked to someone on here in the Chat room they recommended the Moroso 65845. What kind do you guys use, how do you like it, and what do you recommend as the best kind?

You said in another thread that you already have a "cheapy" intake. What CAI do you have now?

I prefer the AZ Speed and Marine or the SLP one. Too many problems with having filters fall off the plastic ones. Tighten them too much and you crush the tube. Too little and you will lose a filter.

I ran the Moroso (also sold as the Callaway) for 5 years and the filter never fell off and I never crushed the tube. The filter actually connects to a metal flange on the metal filler panel that covers the hole in the fender structure.

My .02 is avoid the K&N unit. That big plastic tube was a nightmare to get everything snug onto.

i think im gunna settle on the moroso cai, a lot of people have said that one rather than others so ill try it out. how much did you spend on your moroso cai's? i see some on ebay for 200+shipping, i also heard someone got one for 125. and is there a preferred number moroso? i know theres like a 65845 and 65840 etc, it matter which one i pick?

i forgot to add this but i was researching and i found a slp intake that looked badass, it has dual piping with dual filters, what are your guys opinion on it? its a bit more expensive but what would you guys rate this to the moroso's?

You have to get the one that works ONLY on the 93's. The other one is made to allow space for the MAF sensor on the 94-97 LT1's.
