Unhappy Voltmeter jumping

Hi i have a 2002 z28. For as long as I have had the car the dashlights would flicker quickly and then stop after car warmed up. Now for the past three days it is constant and the voltmeter is jumping around after increasing in RPMs and now having car jerk back and forth while in second gear as if a dead cylinder. I Believe is possibly a loose connection as the old chevy vehicles have had with the starter bolts always coming loose after 50k. please help with any info

Might be a common thing that people in the LS1 forum would know about. You posted in the LT1 forum.
